G'day
I have tried 3 different F's -
QF - by far the best. Service, seat, IFE etc etc was outstanding. The only bad thing is the price.
LH - pretty good, but I think their service and IFE is below QF. Food was exceptionally good. The lounges at FRA are very ordinary.
TG - my favourite mainly because of "value-for-money". Seats ok (if you choose the newer ones), service and food outstanding, new lounges in BKK are great. Can't wait until they upgrade their product.

Singapore - No question in my mind! Excellent cabin layout, terrific food, biggest screens, tremendous service.
British Airways - Excellent seats/beds, fantastic service.
United - Great sleeper suites. Food is not F class, and the service depends on the crew.
Lufthansa - Their seats are not like the above suites. They lay flat, but two by two on upper deck of 744. Food is OK, service is excellent

The new NW WBC is one if not the best in my opinion, at least for US carriers.

I've only flown with BA, and only six times at that so I can't really comment but from what I have experienced it was excellent!
I would love to try F on EK, SQ and NH which has been getting rave reviews of late

VS try to present UC as a First Class product at a business class price which isn't quite true. I know someone who was looking at getting to PHL from LHR. He could fly BA F direct to PHL for £4400 or go via EWR for £4200 on VS.
I am not against Virgin (although it may appear so!) but it is just Virgins marketing dept are so good they manage to elevate the status of an inferior product to make it comparable to BA.
