I flew (perhaps my last) flight in an AA 767-200 yesterday JFK-MIA and even though we had a 2 hour delay, enjoyed the flight very much.
What surprised me though was the F cabin. It appeared to have almost the exact same seats as the J cabin where I was seated. I thought I had read a few years ago that they took the old F "coffin" suites from the 772 and put them into the 762 F class. Was any of the 762 F class refurbished as I recall?

Quoting N62NA (Reply 4): they didn't look at all like the pre-current-AA-772-Flagship-Suite coffins as I remember them
Probably because during the refurbishment they removed the actual "coffin" shell that those seats originally reclined into. There was far too little space in the 762 F cabin for that. Additionally, the original 180 degree recline of those seats was artificially limited during the re-installation because pitch in that cabin does not allow for a full recline.
