I've just booked myself on Sri Lankan (UL) for Colombo(CMB) to Hambantota(HRI), and the flight time shown on my ticket is 35mins operated by an A343. I know that low cost carrier MIHIN LANKA also operates 1x daily A343 on the same route that departs 20mins behind the UL flight.
I wonder are there any shorter SCHEDULED commercial route under 35mins that are operated by widebodies anywhere in the world?
Hong Kong is not China. Not better or worse, just different.

ET831 FIH-BZV, ranges from 0:09-0:12 in duration, 26km. Operated by a 763.
why, just why???
I believe it's because there is no quick/easy way to cross the river between them, making it profitable enough for ET to operate the tag-on (or maybe just extra stop on a triangle route, I'm not sure.)
Not to mention that they're in different countries, meaning an extra customs stop for some PAX if ET only flew to one of the cities.
