ATL, it's the world's busiest airport, and is home to the largest single airline hub in the world as well. What they lack in international service, they make up for domestically. There's an old saying in the South that when you die and go to Heaven (or Hell), you have to change planes @ Atlanta!

I agree, ATL certainly has to be in there. It is user friendly and for the amounts of traffic this airport handles, it is quiet amazing their efficiency in operations and also you can reach anywhere in the U.S. from ATL.

ATL is not a GLOBAL hub. I'm sure it is a busy domestic airport but it's share of world international flights is small.
I'd have to agree, while its obviously in the top 5 US domestic hubs, it's not quite a "global" hub like LHR or LAX
