My first one was a Tunisair Boeing 727-200 in 1975 from Luxembourg to Tunis
and at that time I was 7 years old and I will always remember when boarding in ELLX, the kids where allowed to board the plane before the other passengers and as I was the only kid onboard my mother and I we where invited to board first by the gentle ground stewardess. Ohhh gosh, I was so excited to enter for the first time in my life a plane. I couldn't sleep for nights before that flight!!! Finaly, we entered via the rear steps, me running to the stewardess asking her if I could have a look in the cockpit, for my surprise, she grapped my hand and walked directly to the cockpit telling the captain that it was my wish to visit their working place.
From that moment on I was addicted to aviation The crew including captain, FO and FE where just lovely and very kind. Still many thanks to the Tunisian crew for making a little boys dream becoming true

I was three. I'll have to ask. Being it was a U.S. to London trip, I suspect something large. This would be in 1978

UA DC-10 from LAX-PDX in August of 1990. Crazy that they used to use a DC10 on this route, and have now started using RJ's every now and then.

It was 1972. Flew MOB-MSY (about 20 min max) on National Airlines on a 727 (100-series most likely). Flew over in the morning, enjoyed New Orleans with the family (I was 8 years old at the time), and flew home that night...

Luxair,
While my initial flight was a little different from yours, you captured the feelings I had EXACTLY. A love affair was born!
