So, what is the lowest published fare that you have ever paid?

I once paid $19.00 to fly LIT-DFW on Delta.

I paid an old People Express fare of $29 from Newark to Rochester.

A more recent fare was ISP to BWI at $39 plus tax came to $47.00 this past Sep-04. Not bad.

Lowest I've ever paid was 100 on DH, when I went down to the Washington area for a Bob Dylan concert (this was about a week before the absurdness I had to put up with known as my sham of a job interview with them)

$2.00 r/t (before taxes) from LAX-LAS on N9 before they went bust. After all taxes it was 18 bucks.

Another good one was $92.00 r/t from ONT-MCO on HP.

I also got a first class ticket w/ 150% elite mileage bonus on a CO ticket from LAX-MCI this December for $198.00 round trip.

$14 each way SFO-MRY on UA (in First!) in the mid-70s

$19 each way LAX-LAS on WN

Several $25 segments on UA while they were matching WN's 25th anniversary sale

Error fare of $88 round-trip on UA PDX-PHX

Error fare of $99 round-trip on AS/AA code-share PDX-DFW

$68 or so round-trip LAX-MSY on DL during a crazy fare sale in the late 80s

(I never got one, but I recall reading about UA loading fares of $25 each way from the US West Coast to several destinations in Europe, and a few of the people who bought them insisted they make good on it when UA tried to cancel the tickets, leading to the current price disclaimer on their website.)

Cheers!

Many, many, many segments on NWA:

STL-DTW $29 minus 5% or 10% of the fare if booked on the NWA webpage

I was flying about every other weekend on those fares! It got to be that they knew me by name at the NWA counter at STL. Too bad it was just them matching the WN fare, but not only did they match it...they beat it! That amazed me back then, and it does even more now. Back in those days when TWA still flew the route and later AA, they would only match it on certain flights during the day. Funny how those flights went, though, cause it ALWAYS seemed the loads on NWA and TWA were way higher than on WN.

I have quite often paid £0.01 with FR to DUB from LBA. When the taxes have been added it gives a total fare of £21 return on the route. The same fare can be had on many of FR's routes from the UK to DUB.

I paid £5.00 nett INCLUDING tax on GO's Bristol-Belfast in 2001. It's strange as to why it only cost £5.00, considering the tax for this sector alone is £12.50.
