I flew them PHX - CMH a few months ago. Living in PHX I usually fly HP, but CO had a better fare and I hadn't flown them since I was a young'n. The sandwich I got on the IAH - CMH leg wasn't bad, and the new seats with the adjustable headreasts were comfy, but other than that the service was no better than any I have encountered on my many travels with HP or UA. The IFE was okay...but I probably would prefer to just bring my wife's mp3 player instead and actually listen to a selection that doesn't recycle every 30 min. If the price was $30+ cheaper, I wouldn't be opposed to flying them again, but I think I would otherwise just prefer to accumulate miles in account that I will actually be able to use.

CO 738's are very comfortable. At least you know you will have video/audio-eqipped flights, even though the flights are fairly short. You'll get the standard beverge service, and depending on the time of the flights, you may get a muffin or the obligatory pretzels or peanuts. I'm assuming you're in coach, if you're not I don't know what to expect. Enjoy the 738s, they are nicer than the 733s often used on CLE-Florida routes.

IMO, better than most. I'm a VVFF, over a million miles, have Platinum affiliation with HP, Chairman's with US and Gold with CO . . . I prefer CO if they're going where I need to go. Aircraft, service, reservations, etc all preferable to HP and US (and UA, AA).

You should, i've never had any problems with CO's service or staff. They were very professional when my flight was delayed due to bad weather at EWR and again at ANC coz the cargo sorters in the terminal broke. I nearly missed my connections like everyone else but i didn't, unlike everyone else (excuse the pun). Anyway the really treated the connecting passengers well in the chaos EWR was in. They may be a bit informal if they're busy but that's to be expected. They seem to lightened the mood despite very bad visibility (The passengers could not see the wingtip some times!) and a fun roller coaster approach. But i must say their pilots (757) are some of the most highly trained in the US.

Now you're really flying

I flew PHX-IAH a few months ago on a 738 Aircraft. The seats were very nice, the F/A were also very polite and the Aircraft was quite new!
Also Co will show a movie, depending on the destination, Although CO charges a fee of $5 for a headset on domestic flights.

Regards,
AMS

i never have to buy headphones..i always bring my cd player with me every where i go its like by bible. lol. although this past summer when i went to florida on delta via ATL, the return trip was delayed due to a ground stop in ATL, so we sat at the gate(on a 764) for two hours and they played 13 going on 30 ( it sucked) and i was bored so i tried to hook up my own headphones to the port and the sound was only coming out of one side. wats up with that!?

I used to fly WN from AUS-PHX-SNA. I found that CO offered a better fare last year and I fly 3-4 times a year to SNA so I decided to try CO. The 752 from AUS-IAH is awesome! The 738 from IAH-SNA was fast and comfortable I must say. The plane was almost like new with leather seating and had a very nice flight crew. Already got my next flights with them

2/17/05
CO340 AUS-IAH
CO559 IAH-SNA

2/25/05
CO1228 SNA-IAH
CO1233 IAH-AUS

3/03/05
CO340 AUS-IAH
CO1224 IAH-MEX

3/07/05
CO1725 MEX-IAH
CO1233 IAH-AUS

Bought both tickets already and got a deal 600.57$ for them both.
Enjoy your ride on CO, they are a great airline.

Does CO charges $5 for a headset?

CO does charge $5 for a headset, but you get to keep it for future flights. It is a double-pronged connector, so just bringing regular headsets won't get you out of paying. However, if you check in online they give you a voucher for a free pair, which I thought was a nice bonus. I'm pretty sure it is an on-going thing.
