Heya

Which is the worst airline for food?

Have you ever had food poisoning on board?

Who has the best food?

I would argue that virtually all airline food, even in business- and first-class, is substandard and certainly not in the same category as what you would expect in an equal restaurant on-the-ground.

Worst meal I never should have eaten on a plane?

Flying from PUY to LGW with EAF a couple of years back. Potato wedges and white sauce with some kind of "meat" at the bottom. Absolutely vile.

I really should get back to work.

definitly BA LHR-HGK

the noodles we got as dinner were served cold for breakfast, and the snack in the night (which you only got on request) was a cup of indo mee (for 10 cent)

even the asian passengers didnt eat a lot on this flight....

It's got to be KLM's econ food. (last time the fish smelled so bad it made me sick. (noting that it was special holland week and they had pickled herring and onions.)

Any airline that considers a stale sandwich as a meal.

On AA last summer they served me the "chicken" if you can call it that. It looked and had the texture of rubber in my mouth. It seems that every time i am on that flight they serve the EXACT same food over and over again. But on the way back on AA they had some very good pan pizza that tasted like it was from a restraunt or something. Very good

My favourite worst after a having a quick browse thru airlinemeals.net

Some of the best inflight meals I have been on BA (but then I don't fly an other airline premium cabin), usually the appetisers and desserts are superior to the entrees.

KLM birdseed role and cheese! Plus a side of warm Orange Juice. My stomach just turns thinking about it.

I had that in Economy class though Europe many times. However, their international service is great!

The worst airline food I ever consumed was on a TS charter flight from YYZ-LGW back in '98. Oh well, I suppose you get what you pay for.

On the other hand, my best experiences with airline food thus far have been with BA, and NZ. Special mention to NZ - a truly wonderful and commonly overlooked airline!

My worst meal was in Business Class JFK-KBP on AeroSvit. I absolutely refused to touch it, as th ehot entre really was sub-standard, fish was filled with fat, and it was all sub-par. The hot dish was just recycled from Economy and put onto a nicer presentation..ugh.

If Continental had a hub at DFW with nonstop flights I would always fly them, unfortunantely good things take time.

The worst ever was supposedly "beef" on BA F from LHR to ORD. They're usually very good, so maybe I just picked wrong.

The best ever was on Jet Airways MAA-BOM earlier this year. Here's the menu:

Carrot Soup
Coconut Soup
*****
Mustard Sausage and Vegetables with Mint Mayonnaise Dressing
Tofu in Chili Sauce with Fortune Rice and Stir-Fried Vegetables
Thai Green Curry with Cinnamon Rice and Stir-Fried Vegetables
Black Pepper Chicken and Aloo Methi with Steamed Rice
Palak Paneer and Aloo Methi with Steamed Rice
*****
Garlic bread, Soft and Hard Rolls, Naan, Roomali Roti, Papad, Pickles
*****
Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette
*****
Tiramisu
Ras Malai
Fresh Fruit
Chocolate
*****
Cheese
*****
Tea, Coffee, Decaf, (plus Fruit Juice and all kinds of other non-alcoholic beverages)

The worst one I had was on a BA flt (BA codeshare) from EDI-LGW. It was a prawn curry that looked and smelled more like something that would come out your bottom end rather than you'd put in at the top end. I asked if they had anything else but that was all there was. I starved instead.

That flight cost me more than a holiday in Spain, so you can't really say "You get what you pay for".

Maybe airlines should give up on the fish option. I've never seen it go down well on flights.

Was that the pie? Very bad dish, especially for First
