On AA last summer they served me the "chicken" if you can call it that. It looked and had the texture of rubber in my mouth. It seems that every time i am on that flight they serve the EXACT same food over and over again. But on the way back on AA they had some very good pan pizza that tasted like it was from a restraunt or something. Very good

My worst meal was in Business Class JFK-KBP on AeroSvit. I absolutely refused to touch it, as th ehot entre really was sub-standard, fish was filled with fat, and it was all sub-par. The hot dish was just recycled from Economy and put onto a nicer presentation..ugh.

The worst ever was supposedly "beef" on BA F from LHR to ORD. They're usually very good, so maybe I just picked wrong.
The best ever was on Jet Airways MAA-BOM earlier this year. Here's the menu:
Mustard Sausage and Vegetables with Mint Mayonnaise Dressing
Tofu in Chili Sauce with Fortune Rice and Stir-Fried Vegetables
Thai Green Curry with Cinnamon Rice and Stir-Fried Vegetables
Black Pepper Chicken and Aloo Methi with Steamed Rice
Palak Paneer and Aloo Methi with Steamed Rice
Garlic bread, Soft and Hard Rolls, Naan, Roomali Roti, Papad, Pickles
Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette
Tea, Coffee, Decaf, (plus Fruit Juice and all kinds of other non-alcoholic beverages)

The worst one I had was on a BA flt (BA codeshare) from EDI-LGW. It was a prawn curry that looked and smelled more like something that would come out your bottom end rather than you'd put in at the top end. I asked if they had anything else but that was all there was. I starved instead.
That flight cost me more than a holiday in Spain, so you can't really say "You get what you pay for".
Maybe airlines should give up on the fish option. I've never seen it go down well on flights.
