This topic was inspired whilst I was searching for some flights earlier.

Route: PLH-NQY.
Distance: 39 miles/ 63km.
Airline: Air Southwest.
Cost: £188 return.

Works out at £2.41 per mile, Air Southwest btw consider themselves to be a LCC! Laugh out loud Anyone beat this figure?

Concorde was pretty expensive although there was a dude who paid a few million US dollars for a joyride to space.

Lufthansa charges

EUR 455

for a Business Class return flight from CGN-FRA-CGN. This is 80 miles single and equals

EUR 2.84 per mile

ZKSUJ: How was the pricing per mile for a Concorde trip over the pond?

6902 miles (ish)

AFAIR Full fare was approx £6000 return?

If so, about 87p / mile.

My one way on Concorde was £5090, which is probably about as expensive as it got and the trip was 3451 miles.

£1.47/mile or 2.11 Euros per mile.

FYI, return trip on dates I was flying was approx £8200 (September 02)
