milan320 and agill :

I just want a simple answer, like:

-747

or

-380

Then there won't be a fight between Airbus and Boeing fans.. (I hope in fact)

Each aircrafts paint suits its own time of release

The 747-400 looked the best at its time of release

So does the A380

The 380 looked much better than I imagined it to be. But at the moment the 744.

There is no doubt for me: Boeing 747-400!!!!

There is NOTHING (I repeat) NOTHING better for me than the great, awesome, amazing, graceful, beautiful, powerful (to be continued) 747-400  Wink/being sarcastic

I think I made my point clear.... hehe

Nothing beats the 747, but I have to admit the A380 looks much better painted. I can't wait to see it fly, but the 747 will always be my favorite. Next comparison will have to be the interiors. The A380 might beat the 747 there, but we'll have to wait and see.

747 no doubt.. A380 looks way tooo fat and chubby to look like a plane you can actually respect.. it doesn't have the look of power that the 747 has....

sorry to any Airbus Fans but 747 will be the beast for the rest of our lifetimes  Smile

The A380 is a marvel of engineering and yadda yadda yadda, but as far as looks and prestige, the 747 will always be tops to me. As far as modern looks, the A380 is a giant egg....waaaay too much EuroWhite on it with a blue tail....whoopdedoo.

747-400, graceful lines...the A380 looks like the fat kid with the big forehead that sit on the corner of the playground. No pun intended, just think the aircraft is as ugly as heck!!

the 744 has very graceful and yet agressive lines. But I reckon when both a next to each other on the tarmac, the 380 will look soooo impressive.

I think getting an opinion in here is far from objective. Dude you got to ask people who've never seen either plane before and do not know anything about the origins either...of course you're asking about asthetics, which is subjective and knowledge based.

The less you know the more likely you'll stick to what you like.

You shouldn't ask ppl in here, no offense. We all know the 747 came first, so that plane has established a rather large fan[antic] base.

Personally, yeah they look different: 747 looks sharper in front and A380 looks like it was diecasted smooth; what do you want from me?  Big grin
