Hey,
I'm planning to go to CAE from MAD on NW this year because I want to fly on a DC-10 before they all go.
Wich is the best way to go?
I know I have to go trough AMS but I only want to fly KLM MAD-AMS and from AMS where will I have to go? Detroit? And then from there to CAE?
Thanks,
James

Minneapolis, DTW AMS is 100% A330.

I would suggest trying to ticket MAD-AMS-MSP-MEM-CAE

Why would you go to MSP first, when AMS-MEM is a DC-10

Youll likely have to book MAD-AMS-MEM-CAE

Thanks Burnsie28.
Is it easy to get from those NW gates to the place where this pic was taken?

1 million flyer, MSP-AMS still remains a DC-10 at current point in time.

MADtoCAE-
To be honest I really dont know, I believe that it is, as many just get right off the plane and head over there. Unfortunately I have never been to AMS so I couldnt actually give you a diffinative answer.

There are only 6 photos of NW DC-10 cabin shots, how are the seats?
Are they confortable?
What planes will I fly on in the routes MEM-CAE and CAE-DTW?
Thanks

We'll I'm 6'2 and the DC-10 wasn't all the bad for me. I'm more comfotable in that plane than I am the A320's. As much as some people love the 10's, I'm looking forward to getting the A330 at MSP as there is almost no IFE in the DC-10. You have one big screen towards the front and if someone stands up, has big hair, is tall, your screwed. Bring something that will keep you entertained.

That was my point, sorry I wasn't clear. If you want to fly on the DC10 you will have to route yourself through MSP at least on one way because NW only operates A330-300 from AMS to DTW.

CAE-DTW is a CRJ....to get on a DC10 from AMS you'll have to got thru MEM or MSP...SEA and BOS switch back and forth between DC10 and A330 depending on the season. DTW-AMS is all A330
