I always thought AirCanada's 747s were beautiful looking planes, but as I understand it thay've all bee phased out now.

Do the Canadian A.Netters (or indeed anyone) miss the AC 747? Or are you glad to see it gone?

Regards

Of course! Who wouldn't miss the good old 747 in any fleet? I am afraid NZ will do the same when their 777s have been delivered in the future. Of all the widebodies, the 747 is still very special!

Yes, I certainly miss it. The A345 is nice, but its just not the same.

You know the gear is up and locked when it takes full throttle to taxi to the terminal.

Ok, I'm not canadian but I agree with you.

The B747-400 was always a nice sight in FRA. Indeed the A330 and the B767 are also nice to see but not as fascinating as the B747.

That's why they didn't ask you Chris Wink.

I assume they were getting old, and making less and less money as they aged. No airline would keep flying unprofitable aircraft just to please the spotters, though it would be nice if they did.
