I am sorry if I am not asking this question in the correct forum , ifso please delete it and let me know otherwise. I work for Air France here in the U.S. and have booked a family trip to HNL this year with Delta. We have gone there several times but never on Delta. United and Northwest have always given acceptional service (my personal preference always on NWA as I was a former FA on NWA until 9/11), but I want to know how Deltas service compares if anyone can help me. I have taken Delta many times as it is big here in Florida, but is the service equal to that of there skyteam partners. I am changing planes in ATOLL and the again in LAX on the outbound, and only once in ATOLL coming home. Any trip reports or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Personally, I flew DL CLE-ATL-DFW-HNL-SFO-CVG-CLE in '99. I thought the service was very good, but nothing to write home about. I find HNL routes get good services as many experienced flight attendants get these in demand routes. I found it just a shade better than AA's and HA's service, but I flew to HNL/OGG with those after 9/11.

I'll say true, there is no more nonstop service on DL DFW-HNL route, though AA offers one. I do believe that the service before was technically one stop ATL-HNL service on an L-1011. I took that flight.

Delta has pretty much closed their DFW hub, and moved it mostly to ATL. I know they have 2 non-stops ATL-HNL, 1 SFO-HNL,1SLC-HNL, 1 CVG-HNL, and 2 LAX-HNL daily. it seems most airlines are just going from their hubs these days. Correct me if im wrong please. I am reffering only to the Legacy carriers of course.

DL service to HNL is about the same as can be expected on any other domestic flight on any legacy airline. The flight in nice on the 764 with the big windows and the spacious feel on such a long flight. I know there isn't much to look at on the way over but I find it's always fun to catch the first glimpse of Haleakala.
