Maybe I am biased but I would go for

Best Y: BA
Best J: BA
Best F: BA

Worst Y: of 'respectable' airlines: LH?

Worst Y in the world: dunno. but whoever they are, I don't want to fly with them!

1.EK
2.NW
3.EK
4.NW

Considering the only airline I can remember being on in First is NW, and I've seen ads for EK, my choices are pretty one sided. It really depends on the A/C- on NW, Business/First is only good on the 744 and business on the 330, and I'm sure EK has an A/C where one class is not so good. On the 330, coach is "good"; on the Saab340 and CRJ I would say the worst of all. Bad coach is in just about every NW aircraft except the 747s and 330.

Personally I LOVED AA Economy class. I took a 777 flight from FRA to DFW and the flight was awesome. The seats were comfortable and it didn't have that nasty coffee smell like alot of airplanes have. The IFE was also great!

From my experience, the best coach class I've flown in was LY's 777. I was impressed that if anyone from a non-aisle seat needed to get up, not even the usual "excuse me" was needed.

As far as US Domestic Routes go:

1) UA EconomyPlus™
2) Comair CRJs .. stay away from those babys!
3) Delta: Their seats in first are of the best in the US for domestic.
3) Airtran: I think the seats in economy are more comfortable.

For me, only counting airlines with over 10 million pax a year, in other words big airlines.
Best coach: SQ
Worst coach: Thai
Best business/first: SQ's 772ER and 747-400's
Worst business/first: not sure

Quoting BA380 (Reply 1):

Not under my opinion, LH may not have PTV's but they have certainly got better seats than Thai. The economy class from Thai is still good, but from the big airlines, i'd say the worst, certainly not better than LH. i'm sure.
SQ is simply unbeatable in economy class.

Please, I would just like to know the reason why some very respected users on this forum said that LH had the worst economy class. If you think that, i respect that, it's just your opinion, but may I ask for just one little thing, why do think so?
I'm just wondering because I disagree.
If I compare my experiences of Thai, VN or Aeroflot, I find LH still quite a bit better, although no airline has really bad seats.
Thanks for any replies.

Konstantin G.

Quoting Intothinair (Reply 17):
but may I ask for just one little thing, why do think so?

1. Unfriendly, unhelpful, clueless, unmotivated and arrogant cabin crews on all of my Lufthansa flights so far (it was getting worse and worse from flight to flight).

2. The lack of a timely entertainment system. Come on, even airlines like Kenya Airways or Pakistan International have a more modern entertainment system than Shithansa!

3. The constant lowering of food service, it is absolutely not acceptable to receive one main meal, and an additional bag of chips (on request only) on a 6,5 hour flight!

4. The attitude how they treat Eco passengers on the ground (telephone hotline, check-in, gate, Miles & More).

I flew with many airlines in my life and I really have to say that Lufthansa is the worst of all!. I refuse to fly again on them because I see no point to give them my hard earned money for such a crap service!

Patrick

PS: Don't come with the "Lufthansa is always on time" argument, I experienced a lot of delays on LH!

Ok, I get the point Sabena332.
Luckily I haven't experienced all of these problems on LH.
I sure don't want to experience all that.
Anyways, on other airlines I had similar experiences, including terrible seats that's why I was wondering why you said LH, because I couldn't have imagined LH being like that. No airline is always on time, and it's not a matter to me anyways, since on any airline, delays/cancellations don't happen a lot.

Cheers, Konstantin G.
