My absolute fav is an Air Canada Douglas DC-8 (hence my user name ACDC8), it was the very first plane I flew on flying from DUS or FRA (not sure which one) to YYZ back in '74!

But in the modern day I'd have to say:
1. Airbus
2. A340
3. Air Canada and Lufthansa

Mine is the A330-200 and Boeing 777-300 . I love both Boeing and Airbus so no preference for this one .

I'll second that! The Q-400 is an experience to be had! Jets, especially large jets, are in the spotlight too often. Long live the props!

Um, even though I'll take the DeHavilland as no. 1, I would jump at the chance to ride a 727 again
