Yesterday I completed a flight on Ryanair (FRIEDRICHSHAFN-STANSTED) and I was very surprised. I wasn't expecting too much on this flight as I had heard various bad stories from people who have travelled with Ryanair before.
The service on my flight was one of the best I have ever recieved, with very helpful flight attendants who were cheerful. Frequent pilot announcements were made and he also said thank-you to everyone when we got off the aircraft. The aircraft was also very comfortable.
Is my experience a one-off, or have many of you had great experiences with Ryanair ? Will be interesting to know as I am thinking of booking up some more Ryanair flights.

I flew Ryanair from Stanstead to Stockholm last week for 49GBP in a brand new 737-800 with no adjustable seats, no window blinds, no seat back pockets, no air sick bags, and safety cards screenprinted onto the back of the chair in front (oh and no in flight refreshments or entertainment). But hey I got there safe and sound in a shade under two hours.
If anyone wants to spend an additional 150GPB of their hard earned dosh for the above 'luxuries' with a similar flight with (say) BA then it's down to the individual.
No complaints, on time, good value for money.

I've only had one return flight with Ryanair from Stansted to Hamburg Lubeck, and have no reason to complain (there's a trip report in the relevant forum). My flights were punctual, the cabin crew were fine on the whole, I got to my destination early (according to their timetable) and it only cost me £0.09 per flight, naturally plus tax. I'd not hesitate to fly with them again!

Had over 20 flights with them already, most of the flights arrived early or on time, all of them were cheap, flight attendants typically very friendly (not really on the 737-200s for some reason), not much to complain about them.

At current exchange rates, 49GBP is about 95USD. For 95USD (including taxes), you can fly a similarly length of flight on WN in the US and get free snacks, drinks, 33 inches of pitch, window blinds, reclining seats, seat pockets, full carry on and checked baggage allowance, wheelchair aid (if needed), in house luggage assistance and more. FR is not value for money.

I flew with them once. I must saw I was chocked/apalled by how much they charged for their inflight food. I was starving and went to buy a pepsi and when sheb rought the credit card machine with the coke I laughed in her face and said hell no, im not paying for that ####. I must admit I got to my destination safely, the ride wasnt confortable and the flight attendants were hot as hell. I wouldnt fly Ryanair if I had an alternative but for the price I paid, anything goes.

I few with them twice, the only reason was to get on the Boeing 737-200. The seat pitch was awful and very uncomfortable, but it was only a short flight so it didn't matter so much. The service wasn't that bad but the ground staff were awful, keeping us in line waiting to board at DUB for 90 minutes! The cabin condition was pleasant enough. Never had any problems with Ryanair, yes the service is basic but you get what you pay for, and all my flights with them have been on time. It will be better though when the 732s have gone as some of them look like their falling apart. Surprised Pe@rson hasn't seen this thread yet

Flew with them last November from Stansted to Treviso (Venice, or thereabouts) and apart from the fact that they broke the handle on my strolley, I have no complaints. Admittedly I managed to get an exit row, so no problems with legroom, and the F/A's were friendly and helpful. I had flown with them before, back in the mid-90's LGW-DUB when they weren't quite so "low cost" as they are now, and even had allocated seating. But for the price I paid, they were fine.

I had flwon only one roundtrip with them but it satisifed me... You get what you pay for, safe and on-time transportation from A to B. Nothing more, but nothing less. Nevertheless I try to avoid them because IF something goes wrong I really don't know what to expect from Ryanair...

I've flown on Ryanair 6 times and only had minor problems with them. In October I flew from HHN-GRO and we were delayed an hour due to fog in Spain, but there was no info what-so-ever given by anyone (one of my biggest pet peeves). The pilot finally explained why once we were airborne.
But the service was fine, food was OK (the hot ham and cheese sandwiches are soooooo good), and staff was friendly. Besides, for the prices I got the tickets for, I have no right to complain about anything.
