I like Richard Lake's attitude to expansion, his clean aircraft and his service. And my wife works for Manx Regional, which is Easterns handling arm here on the Isle of Man. Oh, and I used to look after all his J-41's when they were BA's

As I'm a former employee of Eastern Airways it's nice to hear you say that. I only left them due to personal circumstances, nothing to do with work, and it was a wrench. I had a great time working for them.
After Eastern Airways, my unbiased choice of the one which has surprised/impressed me most has to be Flybe with their Q400.

Despite letting me down on a few occasions, mine's Air Southwest, they make you feel more wanted as a passenger and have very friendly staff who are always happy to help. Following them it would be Palmair, BA and then Monarch Scheduled, I have not flown Virgin or BMI yet so I can't vouch for them.
