Short Haul Plane Tournament Final: 727 Vs. A319

The results for the semi finals were as follows

727 beats DC9 6-3

A319 beats E170 9-0 !!!


So here goes the final

Boeing 727 vs the A 319...this is NOT to turn into an A vs B thread

I have to say 727 as well. I enjoyed my A319 flights but the 727 will always hold a special place in my heart. I think the 727 did more for short-medium haul aircraft as well.

Clearly the A319 - the B727 is too uncomfortable, too loud, burns too much fuel and pollutes the air far too much: it's going the way of the dodo.

Well, I'm not going to 'officially vote'

I love the 727 for the memories, but I just wouldn't feel right putting the wife and kids on a commercial version in this day and age.

I like the 319 because of all the 'right' reasons (Efficency, noise, comfort) plus it hasn't had the wear and tear that most 72's have had.

I love the 727 but 319 gets my vote mainly because she is a new aircraft, wider and quieter cabin and more reliable then 727.

Any aircraft would beat the A319, the most obnoxiously dull plane flying. Add another vote to the 727!
