I will fly JFK-GRU business class and my work-related travel agent gave the option of CO or AA on the route JFK/EWR-GRU. CO flies EWR with the 767-200 and AA operates the B777 from JFK. I assume AA B777 is a superior product business, right?

I know a lot of people that praise CO's international business class as a hybrid with superior seats. I personally have had very good experiences with them, and you should get personalized service in the 25 seat business class cabin. The 2 by 1 by 2 configuration is one of the best for 767s. On the other side AA has 60 inches of seat pitch, and CO has 55 inches. That is about industry standard. CO has a better reputation, so I would probably lean towards them. CO tries to make its business class a hybrid between business and first since they don't offer a real international first cabin.
I have flown both internationally, but only on narrowbodies, so I can't really say which is best to Brazil. I though do enjoy CO more then AA.
Finally have you thought about frequent flyer miles? If your company allows you to take them, you will get a lot on the flight, and you could use the AA fast track program to earn Gold Advantage from this single flight which will pay future dividends in the form of upgrades.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

Quoting Airlinerfreak (Reply 6): I would have to say AA is much better on that market as they do indeed have the better Business Class product on the 777.
