One of my best - in relative terms rather than absolute - was upon arrival in LHR. I'd been away in the USA for 3 months, had a crappy BA "breakfast" (if that's what you call burnt cardboard), and really needed some decent food for breakfast for a change. One huge fry-up later and I was mighty satisfied!

An upstairs restaurant in BKK was particularly good - but then being Thai, it had to be good food!

I remember when Harry Ramsden's used to be in LHR Terminal 1 above all the check ins, I was flying to DUS late afternoon after arriving from JNB in the morning and spending the day in London, in South Africa you can't get British fish 'n chips so Harry's was heavenly, with mushy peas and a pint of Stella!

In CPT domestic arrivals is a restaurant/pub called The Dros, it is part of a chain with wine cellar type decor, steaks are great!

Nice restaurant... nice location (behind concourse B security checkpoint)... Good food service.

If anyone has been to 'Encounters', the landmark Theme Building at LAX; the base has/had a cafeteria that served decent, filing, and economical meals.

Good discount for airport employees was provided.

The Mexican place at JFK T6 (JetBlue) puts out a suprisingly good burrito, and a decent breakfast version too.

I dont remember the name but Cody,Wyoming(COD) has a great sit down restaurant. Its hard to miss due to the airport being only 2 gates(no jetways).

Hannover Airport (HAJ/EDDV) features a full-service Moevenpick Restaurant with vistas of the apron.
A lot of local people flock out to there especially for brunch on Sunday mornings.

Most food outlets in Amsterdam´s Schiphol Plaza can be recommended, too, but for me the best place is the bar on the right end of the plaza (when entering): Close the meeting in the adjacent Sheraton at 1700h, enter the bar, have some beer and take your flight home 2 hours later. Happened several times for me ...
