Anyone have any big plans to make it to the local airshow, or looking forward to any specific acts or aircraft?
I can't wait till the airshow starts here in PIT. The Thunderbirds will be here, but I perfer the Blue Angels! Plus a B-52 is supposed to be on static display, I've never seen one before.
I'd like to make plans for Clevelands airshow, I went a few years ago and had a good time. I got to see a F-14 for the first time, and do a demo. BKL is a quaint aiport.

I'll finally, hopefully make it to the airshow in my backyard at NAS Oceana's airshow in Sept. I missed it last year while on a western pacific deployment supporting OIF and hopefully if I do go back out, it won't be til afte the airshow here. I made it to the practice airshow here 2 years ago but for the actual show, I was working with the sercurity force protection program and i'm hoping not to do that anymore. It sucks! "Hi, i'm a retired O-8 with my family, let me thru." "err, Sorry sir, rules are rules, I dont give a rats arse about you being an O-7." haha, fun times.

Great show every year. We used to watch them pratice from our old office location. (International Parkway and Lynnhaven Parkway) Nothing like a F-14 and/or F-18 screaming right over your head!!! Me and my son go out there on show days..... always a great view. My sister-n-law is seeing a Master Chief from one of the squadrons stationed there. If he is in town, hopefully we'll get some VIP viewing...

I can't wait to visit the Paris Air Show next month! Even better is that I will get a press pass, so I don't have to pay the entrance fee and I will have access to the press facilities.

There´s a limited Airshow next to my home (about 1 km away) at Wunstorf, Germany on 18-JUN, celebrating 50th anniversary of the German Air Force. www.flugtag2005.de
The next day I will depart on a familiy trip to Austria (staying at Lake Woerthersee); big military airshow at Zeltweg 24/25-JUN-2005. Used to be "Free entry", which is rather unusual in Europe ... www.airpower05.com
In July (09/10-JUL-2005), I will pay a visit to the Flying Legends Airshow at Duxford, Cambs, England - really my favourite in recent years. This vacation will also see some daytrips with departures from LTN, LCY and BHX.
October probably will see me travelling to Southern California in order to attend the Miramar Airshow at MCAS Miramar (San Diego). www.miramarairshow.com
The following weekend I have the choice of either NWAS Point Mugu (Oxnard, CA) or Edwards AFB, CA, but I think I´ll go for Edwards AFB (really a great location with its vast clay runways).
Have fun,
HT

I might drive up to OSH for AirVenture, but I haven't decided yet...I have to move into my dorm 2 weeks after, so I might be too busy getting everything ready.
