Skytrax Best Airline of the Year 2005 to be announced soon..........

It was on last week that the results would be available by the end of last week but until now we haven't heard anything from them....... Pretty inefficient I would say.

What are your predictions? EK? SQ? CX? BA?

2002 was EK. 2003 was CX. 2004 was SQ

SQ will definitely not get it this time around or maybe for a long time to come. Reason was that they did not recognise the Best Airline award they won last year like what other airlines do. Pretty arrogant of SQ...huh?
SQcrew.

Skytrax is the largest aviation survey on earth. Why did they not recognize this award?

Besides the survey is voted online. So SQ has a chance....

When will they announce the result? GEEEZ! Takes forever!

Well what I was told by the crew management that Skytrax does not have a solid base or prove that the votes are accurate. Even people who doesn't travel can cast their votes. What SQ recognised are those travel related publication like Cod neste travellers or Business travellers for example. And eventhough The Best Airline 2004 was awarded to SQ...There wasn't much publication by the media or media conferences regarding the winning unlike how MH promote their Best Cabin Crew award with award ceremonies and banners and billboards. I don't know...Maybe this Skytrax survey has no impact on SQ or something. Well I too can't wait to know the result. Most probably will be EK I guess.

EK was not even voted 5 star last year... so expect may be CX to be voted numeber 1.

Next flights : BRU-ZRH-CAI (LX)/ BRU-FCO-TLV (AZ)

God knows it's not a US airline. It'll most likely be SQ or CX or something.

I know this guess may be a stupid one, but what about either AF or NZ?

Still no results. Takes forever. Skytrax is very inefficient

I hope so too. CX was the winner in 2003. However they were number 3 only in 2004.

Any chance for CO???? CO is a good airline. The service is good. Also the food.

They didn't even mention it on their website.

Any source on this? I mean on SQ not recognizing Skytrax awards??? Pretty silly for them not to recognize the world's largest aviation survey.

Highly unlikely due to really high-rated Asian carriers. But I'm sure AF is most likely somewhere in the top 10.

I thought that, also. But when compared to the domestic service of other Asian and European carriers, it's no match.

NZ ranks pretty high on the list. It is a very high quality boutique airline.

Doubt AF was in the top 10 last year

Really?? Actually CO won a best airline award a few months ago.....

I hope QF! but more likely to be CX or SQ, i dont give much credit to EK as i find them to be very inconsistant.

Wonder why BA and QF are not 5 star airlines.......

I hope CX wins......

I find EK inconsistant too sometimes. Do they have a strong First Class Product?
