Skytrax Best Airline of the Year 2005 to be announced soon..........
It was on last week that the results would be available by the end of last week but until now we haven't heard anything from them....... Pretty inefficient I would say.

SQ will definitely not get it this time around or maybe for a long time to come. Reason was that they did not recognise the Best Airline award they won last year like what other airlines do. Pretty arrogant of SQ...huh?
SQcrew.

Well what I was told by the crew management that Skytrax does not have a solid base or prove that the votes are accurate. Even people who doesn't travel can cast their votes. What SQ recognised are those travel related publication like Cod neste travellers or Business travellers for example. And eventhough The Best Airline 2004 was awarded to SQ...There wasn't much publication by the media or media conferences regarding the winning unlike how MH promote their Best Cabin Crew award with award ceremonies and banners and billboards. I don't know...Maybe this Skytrax survey has no impact on SQ or something. Well I too can't wait to know the result. Most probably will be EK I guess.

TAKES FOREVER FOR THEM TO RELEASE THE RESULTS!!!
Quoting Airlinerfreak (Reply 6): I know this guess may be a stupid one, but what about either AF or NZ?

Still no results. Takes forever. Skytrax is very inefficient
Quoting AIR MALTA (Reply 4):
so expect may be CX to be voted numeber 1.
I hope so too. CX was the winner in 2003. However they were number 3 only in 2004.
Quoting UAalltheway (Reply 5):
God knows it's not a US airline. It'll most likely be SQ or CX or something.
Any chance for CO???? CO is a good airline. The service is good. Also the food.

They didn't even mention it on their website.
Any source on this? I mean on SQ not recognizing Skytrax awards??? Pretty silly for them not to recognize the world's largest aviation survey.

Quoting UAalltheway (Reply 9): Highly unlikely due to really high-rated Asian carriers. But I'm sure AF is most likely somewhere in the top 10.
NZ ranks pretty high on the list. It is a very high quality boutique airline.
Doubt AF was in the top 10 last year
Quoting UAalltheway (Reply 9): thought that, also. But when compared to the domestic service of other Asian and European carriers, it's no match.
Really?? Actually CO won a best airline award a few months ago.....

Really?! Oh ok, thanks for filling me in. I guess they'll probobly be somewhere up there in the rankings. Guess we'll just have to wait it out and see what happens.
