RJ the worst airline????
What kind of experience did you have with this airline?

I've personally flown them 3 times (1 in business) between Paris and Amman and it was really, really nice everytime.

Flying is amazing!

there is a lot of bad airlines in this world...... talk about some low budget companies who operates only small number of planes and they're old planes as well.

In Indonesia for example there are some number of airplanes that's just soo old and they still operate them...

I believe in every country, in this world, there are some low budget airplanes companies. and yes RJ is not the worst airlines.

Sorry but this is a pointless question. How could you judge the 10 worst airlines? I am sure that some airlines in remote countries compared with the major international airlines would be just like comparing a meal at MacDonalds with a meal at the best restaurant in the town, which had been awarded three Michelin stars (for non-Europeans that is the highest rating a restaurant could get).

Think of some airlines in places like mid Africa, where the plane is not only antique, in-flight service non-existent and people steal fuel from the aircraft's tanks when it is parked and unguarded, but the whole country is probably corrupt. How about judging some airlines in parts of what was the USSR?

You would have to give a list of airlines, probably 50 or more, and then ask passengers to vote for their 10 worst.

Skytrax and similar surveys are not accurate. They question too few people to give an accurate picture. In this country we had a survey by a national consumers' organisation called Which? An airline called Palmair came near the top of the best airlines. Who has heard of Palmair? They only have a handful of 737-200s and are based in Bournemouth principally flying charters for a travel agency in the south east of England! Best airline in the world. I do'nt think so!

If you asked me what were the 10 worst airlines that I have flown, my list would no doubt include VS and NW. VS because I have more often encountered rude and unprofessional FAs than polite and professional FAs, fellow passengers were families with screaming children on their way to Florida or other theme parks in USA, and seeing VS crews at their stopover hotel off-duty but still in uniform acting as though there were laddies returning from an all-night drinking/sex orgy.

Have you actually flown any of these airlines in order to give a balanced opinion on this matter?

I would be astonished, so much so that I might fall off my chair, if you have flown on Air Laotia and Air Bhutan. You would certainly be unique.

Do you have any insights about the quality of Great Britain Airlines, Air East Germany or Air St Helena? I really would be delighted to know your opinion on this matter.

I love flying and I never complain about it but I had a bad experience with their international service. That airline ruins the German "high standard" image.

BCAL,

I could not agree more, we have all had differing experiences with the airlines that we have flown with, similarly, we all have very different expectations from our chosen airlines.

How can anyone put two airlines side by side and then measure the standard of service, the standard of cleanliness, the punctuality of the airline?, when one may be a Multi Million Dollar conglomerate, able to fly the latest aircraft with the highest trained crew, supplying the best on board service money can buy, and the other a struggling, under funded, under resourced, Third World airline. These airlines are often operated with antiquated aircraft, flown by Pilots that earn a fraction of the salary earned by a Western pilot, with local F/A's; again earning a pittance, just earning money so their families can live.

If you must judge airlines, then, at least get some perspective on the subject.

Andy
