Have you had the opportunity to fly and grab this same view?

When I first saw this photo of Las Vegas strip ... I could remember everything! Night flight America West A320 taking off and I had the opportunity to view Las Vegas strip just like the view of photo

Yep, quite a few times actually, and it never ceases to impress. My favorite though is a LAS sunset landing.

Yes but not at night. I flew from Las Vegas 3 times and all three we took off during the mid to late afternoon hours.

Best approach I´ve ever had was a latenight flight RNO - LAS when we passed the Stratosphere Tower on our right (coming in from the NorthNorthWest) with the remainder of the Strip clearly visible all the way down to Luxor´s blue light ...

Well I'm landing on the left side and depart that same night on the right side

Hopefully the wind doesn;t go all crazy and they decide to switch runways at like 11PM

Unfortunately when I took the red-eye back to JFK, I was on the left side of the plane. Nothing to see that way, believe me.  cry

If I take a weekend trip out there later on this year (Something I'm planning), I'll be landing at night, as I'll be getting there in the early to mid evening. I doubt I'll take a redeye back.

When I use to work for National I saw that same veiw all the time. LAS landing or departing at night has got to be one of the most impressivve I have seen.

I did my first night flight from Las Vegas in April. LAS to PIT on America West. I didn't have a window seat but still could see out the window a bit. It was about 11:30pm. All I can say is wow! With all the lights of Las Vegas..........It was just gorgeous!
