Hi all:

A friend of mine is moving to Alaska, and will be travelling from Traverse City (TVC) to Fairbanks in the next few weeks.

What would be the best service, in terms of equipment, inflight service/entertainment, and overall comfort?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dr.DTW

AA eagle1331 ex TVC to ORD conx with AS131 Non stop to ANC...

I would say that wud be best for around 530USD. AS is operating their 737-700 on the non stop leg.

You can't get there from here.

Or Eagle to O'Hare. The catch Alaska or American to Seattle and you can fly non-stop to Fairbanks from Seattle.

NWA:

TVC-MSP-ANC / then AS ANC-FAI

or

TVC-MSP-FAI (6.5 hour layover in MSP though)

Direct KNOBS, maintain 2700' until established on the localizer, cleared ILS runway 26 left approach.

Not to change the subject, but while you're at TVC, take a few pictures of the shiny new terminal for me, as I would really like to see some more pictures of it. I haven't made it up there yet, and I would like to know what you think of it (an email would be nice, if you can take the time; contact info is in my profile).

Next flight: GRR-ORD-PDX-SEA-ORD-GRR

Flew to FAI on NW last year... EWR-MSP-FAI. The MSP-FAI is on a 757, and its a long flight, but its really convenient to only make one stop. I found the service to be great, and really enjoyed my flight with NW!
