I will be flying American Airlines to Buenos Aires from JFK this Fall. Has any one flown this route, and with American? How are the 767-300's? I have not flown AA internationally, since 1998. Your comments would be appreciated.

I flew an AA 763 from CDG-DFW in June and the flight was excellent. It was one of the older versions but the plane was still in decent condition. The FA's kept the entertainment coming and were always in the cabin handing out papers etc. We sit in the mini-coach cabin and it did not feel cramped at all. It was an all around excellent flight.

Hello,
I flew the same route with American a few years ago. Was a good flight, comfortable 767, very clean, good space, ontime. I think in terms of service you will not notice such a difference to a let's say a transcontinental USA flight. Crew is correct, informal, many Latin people also.
Departs late at night and arrives morning at EZE so the ten or more hours went fast.

Is this AA955? I was booked to fly this once, back on June 15, 2001 (I'm an airline nerd, so I remember such dates).
However, I got to JFK and the flight had been canceled. Apparently Aerolineas Argentinas employees were striking, the airline was about to go out of business, and they were blockading all AA and IB planes at EZE! Literally forming human chains around the planes in acts of protest. I think AA and IB own stakes in AR? Could be wrong about that.
Anyway, I got booked on AA951 instead, JFK-GRU-MVD, and then I took the ferry from Montevideo to Buenos Aires. It was a 763 JFK-GRU, then change in aircraft to MVD. Good flight, comfortable, pretty long. Don't remember much else. Have fun!
