Hi all,
Quick survey I'd like to take. I'm flying CAI-NYC in two weeks for business, and I can take any flight I want. However, because my company contracts w/the USG, we're subject to the Fly America Act for USG employees and therefore I must take a U.S. carrier on the Europe-NYC part of the trip (can't do MS nonstop).
Taking flight schedules into account, I've narrowed down to two flights that I'll choose among. I'll first take KL from CAI, and then either CO or DL to EWR or JFK. They arrive a half hour apart.
Just wondering, what's the difference in service b/w a CO 777 or a DL 763 across the pond? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I prefer EWR, so I would go for CO. I have only flown CO and DL on domestic US flights, both are ok, but for some reason I liked CO better. CO seems to be more professional, but that was my personal experience.
I find EWR better than JFK. From EWR to NYC was IMO faster than from JFK.

They are both Skyteam....so you will have a good flight either way.
I am biased to delta, due to the fact that between these two, I have only flown on DL. Good product, but I tend to sleep on flights 4 hrs or longer, so I don't experience the full offerings.

Well, I don't know how much of a difference this makes to you, but all of CO's 767s have PTVs and 32" of pitch, whereas DL only has a main screen and 31" pitch, so I would say that you should go with CO.

Well, the 777 is a much nicer flight than the 763, and if you want your luggage to arrive with you, i"d definitely go with CO...lol
But of course, you will be standing at the carousel for about an hour or two waiting for them to arrive.

Thanks, that's useful. I'll go with CO.
And I'm an NYC resident, so it's not a JFK vs. EWR issue for me, I'm happy to fly into either, and travel time to NYC is not an issue either.
I've never heard anyone say anything good about DL transcon service!

CO definetly. EWR has a great CO terminal, great service with CO, good IFE, and excellent service. No question about choosing CO.
