This may seem like an odd thread here, but, for those of you who fly on a regular basis, do you have an in-flight playlist? If so, what type of songs do you have listed in it? Going through all my songs i've managed to find about 10-20 songs that are in someway related to flying etc. I was going to post this in non-aviation related, but, I feel it is related.

Quoting FutureUApilot (Reply 3): Slashd0t, what are they? I'm looking for songs, but can't find any Aviation themed ones.
Well, some just mention flying or travelling or whatever I found interesting at the time while in flight.. Not all are flying related:
Cake - Wheels
Traveling Band - CCR
Leaving on a Jet Plane - (By Chantal Kreviazuk because I like her version best)
First Thing - Choclair (Just because they mention Pearson Airport near the end)
Should I Stay or Should I Go - The Clash
Amsterdam - Coldplay
Darling Nikki - Foo Fighters (Has an interesting hotel part)
Fly me to the moon - Matt Dusk version
Go - Moby (Just an interesting song)
Come Away With Me (Norah Jones)
Goodbye Blue Sky - Pink Floyd
Flying - Prism
Journey to the end of the East Bay - Rancid
Road Tripping - Red Hot Chilly Peppers
Around the World - RHCP
Across the Sea - Weezer
The Quiet Things That No One Knows - Brand New
Lost in the Air - Cave In
Where Planes Go Down - Vermont

I don't have a "flying playlist", but one song that I always listen to when flying is "Stratford-On-Guy" by Liz Phair. The song opens with a line about flying into Chicago and the music video has shots of UA planes landing at ORD.

I actually have a playlist on my iPod called "inflight" and it's a mix of all my favorites. Everything from hip hop to rock to oldies. Anything that puts me in a good mood. Music makes an already amazing experience (flying) even better!

Every airline lover must include the following song. Its a techo/dance song, but the first part of the song is the sound of a plane landing with the sound of the pre-departure safety demo in the background. Great song!
