Look at the Shorts 330. It's the 360's ugly little brother. And of course the Skyvan is a great example of a mechanical bumblebee.

Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.

Not really - I think that most of them will probably care more about being able to fly than necessarily doing so in a plane that looks good (by who's standards).

Gotta admit, though, the planes displayed here really are ugly... Big grin

The Shorts 360 does look good in BA livery but still look's ugly.

So can we determine that the Shorts 360 is not the ugliest aircarft ever made but is close to receiving the prize!?

Tell me what you think?

I loved the Shots 360. When BA used to operate them into EDI in the Landor livery, i always used to wait until I saw one.

BA shortly phased the Shots 360 out after one of them Crashed into the Firth after take-off from EDI.

Thanks

The Shorts Skyvan is uglier than the 360. Although, the 360 might come in second! The disturbing thing is...airlines bought the 360's! What were they thinking? I was walking past a 360 on the tarmac in Le Ceiba, Honduras, talking to my brother about how we didn't want to get on one. There was a mechanic inside the plane working, then, as we were looking at it, a large metal part fell off the bottom of it! Luckily, we got an LET-410 for our next flight instead of that thing!

So a stupid post. Do you know anything about Russian aircrafts? There are so many different which look as different as western aircrafts do. Many of them look very good.

I agree. Many of them look utterly amazing! Some are gorgeous, some weird, some like a concorde but actually a bomber... Russian Aircarft certainly don't look like American or European aircraft but they aren't ugly.

Back on topic, the Aviation Traders Carvair isn't such a looker, nor is the A380 IMO although it's not the ugliest ever. I don't particularly like the look of the ERJ140/145 or C-17...

but strangely enough I do rather like the shorts 360  Smile

I think that most Russian aircrafts are really beautiful.... Tu-154, An-124, An-225,il-62, il-96 are surely part of my favorite planes.

Talk about ugly!

Soviet aircrafts are "muscular" while the western ones are sleeker (like comparing a Dodge Viper with a Lamborghini Murcielago).

As an aviation enthusiast, I love to see them all! Big grin
