Has anyone tried the new meals KLM offers on their longhaulflights.
Most of the time they now consist of sponsored Uncle Ben's chicken meals,
and Dolmio pasta meals.
IMHO the chicken meals didn't change much, but the pastas who where
practically inedible in the past, are now pretty good.(for airline food offcourse)
Anyone cares to add his opinion?

On my most recent flight with KLM (PRG-ATL-PRG and PRG-JFK-PRG all via AMS with KLM) I found the meals extremely tasty. I choose pasta on one sector and I was like from an Italian restaurant, I´m not kidding. Even thought their lunch and dinner has imporved, I think their breakfast is now worst than ever. I receive an AWFULL, INEDIBLE egg sandwich. I thought I will puke. Thanks God they included a bannana and a yoghurt to change the flavour in my mouth.
But in overall, the meals are really better as well as the whole KLM service.

I don't find the catering any different then before. I've always enjoyed it. However, to my pleasant surprise, they seem to have brought back the Ginger Beef with rice on the AMS-YVR run again after an 8 year absence. Yum-yum!  Smile

Went on AMS-HKG-AMS this summer with KL. I really didn't think the food was anything special. The chicken and pasta options were both boring, as well was the complementary salad, cake, cheese and so on. The breakfast was really bad. Some kind of bagel with egg and bacon, which you would suppose to be good, but this was horrible.

They could really learn something from AF. Their food is excellent, definitely the best I've had in the air.

KL did provide metal knives and forks though. That was great!

Last flight: SAW-CPH on H9 on 02/11/09 - Next Flights: 23/12/09 CPH-AAL on QI, 30/12/09 CPH-LHR on SK, 19/01/10 CPH-CDG-
