LH Or LX Business Class

Can anyone tell me if they had an option to fly either Lx or Lh in Business class, what they would prefer.
I plan on flying from TLV - BOM on Sept 16 and return on Sept 23.

I think it depends on the aircraft you get. On LX the new business in the 343 is really great, the business seats in the 332 are not yet state of the art. With LH I don't know exactly. But as I know they also have different business classes - older and newer. Basically I noticed that the f/a on Swiss are unsually friendlier and the service is more individual than with LH. I would choose Swiss, but, Wink

as you see, I am a little bit biased. I recommend in the Trip Report Forum these threads:

Lufthansa's new business class isn't very bad either. It is a nice lie flat yet angled seat. If you get the older business class, then it isn't as good. Here is a Lufthansa trip report about the new business class that you can compare to the LX ones.

By the way, TLV to BOM via Fankfurt or Zurich is quite out of the way. Are there no closer options, or do you really like flying that much?

This is exactly like Swiss. The new business class has a angled lie flat seat, the older one on the 332 isn't lie flat. As somebody mentioned: isn't it a detour from TLV to BOM via ZRH or FRA? But when you have to do that then I really recommend to go via Zurich because the airport is now (after finishing the construction works) really absolute great to connect, fare better than FRA. In Zurich you have great shops and restaurants and lounges to stay and it is fast. Big windows and two terrasses for spotting. FRA is much bigger, less modern and depending on the terminal always annoying to get around.

But beware, that one of Swiss' daily flights is on a narrowbody airbus that only has "european" business class, not anything close to LH old C on the 744 and new C on the 333.

The only other i would consider is Austrian, but they dont fly every day.

It is difficult getting between those two countries. Flying East form TLV is difficult. Royal Jordanian and Ethiopian both fly between those two cities, but I don't know if you would want to fly them, or otherwise do a double connection through Istanbul or Larnaca and another country. I guess going via Europe might not be that bad.

As I posted in your other post, no the 747s do not all have the new business class and only the A333 flight to TLV has it. None of the Indian flights on LH have the new cabin.

How about Austrian Airlines?
They have a reletavily cheap C Class to BOM. ON 767. They must be ex-lauda.

I know the old business class of Swiss. The seats are quite comfortable (2-2-2) but no lie flat seats like the new one. The one LH I don't know.
