UA PS F-class VS Transc. F-class 3-class

Has anyone experienced any of them? I'm wondering how UA's F-class Premium Service compares with the F-class on transcontinental 763 3-cabin flights.

I travelled on UA recently in C Class on the 767-300 and can tell you that there is no great difference between the F Class seats and the C Class. the first class seat was nowhere near flat bed. Although the legrest looked good, it seemed not much better than where I was sitting. If your considering paying a premium for that flight, avoid First, save yourself a load of cash and fly in C Class.

F on the PS service is far better than F on the 3 class domestic.

But in truth, I find that C on the PS is better than F on the PS, especially if you get row 9. Reason is that the seat in F is not very comfortable. I actually sleep better in the C seat (on PS).

Actually, the 767 F seat used to be thier flagship seat on the 744 too and I flew it ORD-LHR. The legrest felt like it came to 180 degrees, but the seat didn't recline enough for me and wasn't that comfortable. Also there's no underseat stowage.

I don't think you are beeing clear enough. If you are talking about United, they do not operate transcontinental 3-cabin 763 flights for the most part. They do have a few internationally configured 3-class 767s on main hub routes at times (LAX-ORD, LAX-IAD, SFO-ORD, SFO-IAD) but not out of JFK and only on a few flights a day. UA used to use the 762s on premium transcontinental flights, and the PS seats are way better than those old seats were since pitch and seat quality have gone up with the new 757s that have better seats than AA's competing flights. Most domestic UA 767-300ER flights are operated by two class 767s which have the standard domestic first which has 36-38'' pitch, no legrest and modest recline.

As for comparing the first class on a PS 757 and first class on an international 3-class 767, they are similar. The First class on the PS 757s is the SQ designed Spacebed. It is a lie flat at 8 degrees seat. It is a good comfortable seat, and the best seat flying soley domestic flights. The first class seat on the 763ERs is not a lie flat seat. It has very good recline and a good legrest, but is just a small notch above a business class seat. It has more pitch, and a few more features, but is a dated design that is similar to the previous generation of first class seats from the 80s and 90s that are not flat. I find it similar to a BusinessFirst seat on Continental. The first class seat on the 767-300ERs will need to be replaced soon since it is probably the worst transatlantic first class seat on the market, and is surpassed by the business class seat on some carriers nowadays (like BA and VS).



If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!
