Sorry my friend, but the green 747 HAD to go. IMHO I thought that livery was degrading to such a beautiful machine. That particular bird now proudly wears brown for UPS. As for my vote, there is one paint job that should have been kept:

This looks too much like the apartheid flag coulours. The new coulours are certainly Eurowhite but the colorful tail and winglets give breath of fresh air for the airline of a mutlicultural nation

Old Ethiopian Airlines livery.

It was truly unique and timeless; IMHO it is a pity that they felt obliged to embrace a boring, generic Euro-white scheme.

If there's any consolation, there will be one A320 painted in US Airways-America West heritage livery.

One livery, I definitely wished that wasn't retired was NE's Yellowbird theme. Even though I was quite young at the time of the DL merger, I do remember seeing NE's well ahead of its time livery.

True, but what you ahve ot remember is that the average passenger does not care about the livery. But what the average passenger looks at is how fresh, modern and clean a livery looks, and considering competition that ET is up against, it had to reinvent itself and that it is on with times. I guess what they have is more of a 'less is more' scheme. They had had the previous scheme since 1947.

Also consider the details that went into the old scheme, and the amount of time it would take to paint that up. Also the cost. The current livery is actually one of the boldest Euro-whites with the unique tail.

The original Star Alliance livery was cool. Not exactly pretty, but cool. Though nowadays they'd all have to buy 773s or A346s to be able to display all the members...
