For those in the States, what are your travel plans for Thanksgiving?

I just got invited to go to Palm Springs to someone's house, but I'm in BOS and it's a long haul out for a few days, not to mention the impossibility of landing a decent ticket  Sad. I might take B6 to BUR ($400!) but I'm not sure if I want to make that hectic trip out and back...

Not sure yet. I'll either stay home alone, visit the family at a get-together, or be in jail.

Going home with NW, IND-LAX-SAN-MSP-IND. Probably going to go surfing and just relax for the few days I am home.

Life is better when you surf.

I'm going to Vegas to see Paul McCartney in concert!  hyper

To get there I leave FAI at 6am on Thanksgiving and I get into LAS 1135am the next day.

Here's my routing

AS FAI-ANC-JNU-SEA
overnight in SEA
WN SEA-SLC-LAS
concert, then the next day
HP LAS-LAX
visit family for a couple days then on Tues
WN LAX-RNO-SEA
play tourist in SEA and the next day
AS SEA-JNU-ANC-FAI

8 airports, over 5700 miles, and 5 days of flying in 7 days, I am going to be one tired Jen. But I don't care. I'm seeing Paul McCartney!!! hyper

Staying at home. Little brother will be coming home for the holidays and since we already have people scheduled off at work, they aren't letting anyone else take additional time off for either Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Attempting to non-rev to DTW. I should be ok, because no one else is probably going to want to fly anywhere the day before Thanksgiving, right?

Right?

LOL, that's optimism at it's best....lol.

I'm stuck in S. Korea for Turkey Day, so it'll probably end up being some friends and myslef going to the bar and drinking the day away...sigh.

Ok, wait for the RJ to pass, cleared to push tail south Mike, and you're cleared to spin #2 in the push.

Don't worry, there will be plenty of traffic. Since you have to drive through the entire LA basin on I-10 as it makes its mass exodus to the desert for a holiday, it will take you forever. I highly suggest you look into catching a short commuter flight to PSP from LAX. Even though it is only 140 miles, it will take you many hours due to the LA traffic depending on when you go. Flying into ONT is much better since you avoid LA's traffic, but flying into PSP is so much nicer.

As for me, I will be going home to visit the parents for Thanksgiving.
Tuesday: United IND-DEN-SEA
Sunday: United SEA-ORD-IND
I went ahead and bought a first class seat since the discounted first class fare was only $800 roundtrip compared to around $600 for economy.

Well, I was wondering about that. I get into LAX around 10pm, which means it's already fairly late...

Oh well
