Hi,

Are there any photos available of the passenger cabin (economy class) of the Cathay Pacific A340?

Thank you in advance!

Geert

I have a 8mm Home Video Tape of CX's A340 and its interior but sadly, I need a IEEE 1394 Firewire cord and a port to transfer my videos to the PC.

If you wan't to know what it's like in the A340-313X,

- The seats are the (expected) 2-4-2
- Cabin wise, almost the same as the A330 image below.
- Unlike CX's 747s, economy class seats are not round'ish and certainly, not comfortable because of the lack of 'wings' on both top sides of the seats to cushion your head while sleeping sideways a little. Here's a (close but no A340 pictures) comparison:

An A330-343X, looks like it compares to the A340 I've rode on. Comfy!

Boeing 747 with roundish, FLAT  Angry no 'wings' seats. The only pleasing touch on the B747 was the curves of the PTV.

Hopefully that solved your question, except that I gave you a mental image of the A340's seats comparing to the A330...

Actually, the 747 Economy seats are better. They do have wings and are adjustable on both sides. In the 747 photo you showed, they're just pushed back giving you the impression that there's no wing, but infact they're adjustable.
They Economy seats on the airbus and B777s are the older type with the "squarish" shape and with the fixed wing on the head support.

No kidding!

I saw a gentleman in front of me pushing the head cushion up, giving me the impression that that seat can only do that, instead of doing more such as winged headrests...
