1st Annual Worst Major Airline Service Award

Ok, so there has been a lot of heated debates in various forums on which airline has the worst service - so this poll is meant to put it to rest. I finally decided to do this based on the ongoing debates about service on Lufthansa and Iberia.

Here is the format for the competition:

1/ 6 continental worst airlines awards based on play-off matches.
2/ Final global championships based on the highest first round points from each continental championship. Again, 16 airlines.

Here is how the airlines are chosen and competition rules:

1/ 8-16 major airlines in the continent are chosen. Strictly LCCs are excluded and so are pure regionals. If you want, you can PM me your choice.
2/ Voting is based on play-offs. Each member gets one point and based on final points, the worse airline moves on.
3/ You're chosing the overall product of the airline - since most of us travel economy, a weighted average would automatically work out. Again, you're choosing the WORST overall airline to you based on (lack of) service.

Ok, here is the random drawing for the first regional competition:

Award A: Worst Airline in Europe

Here are mine, but as I haven't flown on a couple, I can't judge them:
1) KL
2) LH (NO IFE in Y!!!)
3) AZ (Flights were very late)
4) Aeroflot (Mom studied in USSR and hated it then)
5) Both Good
6) Haven't flown either of them
7) " "
8) Iberia, can't beat Club World

I echo that sentiment, although I haven't tried OA, so I can't vote.

Hmm, there are three airlines competing for my first "worst" place, but I think it would look like this:

1) KL (worst ever seat, worst ever crew, worst ever experience, 900 number customer "service")

2) IB (also 900 number customer "service", worst aircraft cleanliness)

3) LH (worst IFE, bad seats in Y, sudden schedule changes on short notice without allowing passengers to rebook - had to endure 6 and 7 hour stays in FRA because of them)

This is bullshit thread to begin with. I seriously doubt that those voting for all 8 pairs have actually flown all 16 airlines and are not voting based on their superficial perception, airline's "image", frequency of bashing threads here on a.net, etc.
