I don´t think its appropiate to make fun of this incident, since a person (a children) was killed.

Cudos..... it is not appropiate to poke fun at a situation where people died... especially a six year old.. Maybe if there was no deaths it would be a funny human error... but there was... so I personnally believe that this should not be here!

We are making fun of the picture, not the accident itself.

We all feel bad that a kid died, but jeeze, lighten up people!  tapedshut

Oh, lighten up, we do it all the time. And as Flyingbronco05 stated, it's the picture, not the incident. Nobody's involving the kid in their jokes, are they?

My contribution:

Captain: "Dammit, Bob! I thought you said you knew the way to gate A23!"

The death of the child is very sad, and my heart goes out to the child's family,
but remember that there is a child and/or baby dieing right now, but we don't stop life.
What annoys me is that people get all sad and uptight when one child dies in the western world, but yet there are childeren dieing in Africa right now, but do we stop and think. There are childern starving in the world , but we don't stop eating and think do we.
We should stop being so worried about a child we don't even know. Or are you people going to string me for being a cold blooded person ?, Let's be real here people and face the REAL facts.

Fair enough. Seeing as this forum is not making fun of the child that was killed in the incident, I don't think you have a case at all. If you were so devastatingly offended by these captions and felt you were personally being "attacked", try complaining to one of the guys that runs this joint. They'll probably tell you to be quiet and get a life, but that is out of our control.

Quoting Flyingdutchman (Reply 14):

If you came to this forum and knew that these captions were going to be about this incident and that they were going to appeal as being funny to most people, why bother writing anything? It is a waste of your (and our) time. It's a waste of your time because you could be doing something more productive such as writing a post in the forum "Nothing is funny. A.net is not allowed to post images of aviation accidents. People are not allowed to comment on aviation accidents." Im sure there's one out there.

Quoting RyGuy (Reply 16):

Wrightbrothers sums it up extremely nicely. Every 14 seconds, a child dies of hunger in Africa. Every few months, a child dies due to an aviation accident. You are really comparing Cessna's to Gulfstreams (little aviation joke).

Quoting Flyingbronco05 (Reply 17):

True. Some people do need to lighten up. Im starting to seem turned off this site by the amount of people that feel we are crossing some invisible boundary. It's like this is all the darn forums!

Quoting Wrighbrothers (Reply 20):

couldn't have said it better myself!

In the meantime...try to enjoy your trip to a.net and dont try to make every forum topic seem like it's some competition for people to point out how offensive something is.
Cheers,
