What's your vote of the world's best airline livery? To me, all aircraft are like catwalk models. And like models, the winner has been dressed with the best designer clothes there is. The 777 to me is like Naomi Campbell. Long, slim and confident. However, the clothes will do the talking and in this case we are talking about liveries. (Not sure about the A310 as models need to be slim and tall!). My first vote goes to the Air Pacific livery on its 747 "Island of Viti Levu" with decals of a Fijian Island on it. The plane itself is a good looking model. The skirt (tail) is colourful with red, orange, green and blue. Gays will love it. Than the top (fuselage) is very tropical, evident of the model's origins. The white bits represents bare naked skin. Now that's one hot of a good looking model on a catwalk.
My second vote goes to Singapore Airlines. The skirt (tail) is gold and purle, now thats a winning combination. The top (fuselage) has strips of purple and gold and this is like strips of silk hanging loose from its 747,777,345 models. Than the white bits is bare skin. Overall, very conservative skirt with average exposure of the upper body.
My third vote goes to Qantas. How can anyone resist a bare top model with a red skirt and a kangaroo on it? To me that is sexy, simple and gutsy. My sympathy to all the aircraft with Star Alliance on it (especially SQ's) as its nearly all white and that means they are nearly naked!!
My final vote goes to Vietnam Airlines. Blue all over with no flash exposure. Now thats conservative and i praise them for that.

Oh, and Airline names on the fuselage doesnt count as its like Naomi Campbell having her own name tag on her clothes. Thus the QANTAS sign on QF doesnt count.

Well I love South African Airways for the simple reason the colours and design on the tail echo the colors of Africa -it's like one of those african beaded deisgns. SUPER cool

Geoff',
Although I'm gay, you might find this interesting! Ha, ha, ha!
Shana Zedrick... Eastern? Gone too soon!
Republic... Linda Evangelista... Where the hell is she?
Rene Simonson...PSA... BIG smile!
Tatjana Patitz... Lufthansa...Peaceful.
Estelle Le Febure...Thai... Beauty!
Giselle.... Virgin... I still don't know!
Yasmeen Ghauri...JAL... Mysterious, but oh so elegant!
Christy Turlington (with Edward Burns)... Northwest (with KLM)... Can I please borrow your partner?!
Well, I see AA as Yasmin Le Bon, classic beauty!
There's tons of great liveries out there and most airlines have chosen a simpler paintjob these days.
But what also counts is your emotional tie with an airline. When I travel and run into KLM in distant places it almost makes me feel like I'm already home!
A couple of years ago, I was in the US and flew AA from DFW to IAH. When our MD80 approached IAH, an AMS bound KLM 74E was waiting to depart. As if it was there to say hi before it started its journey home.
So in that case I'd compare it to Cindy Crawford... Move over kids and wanna-bes, let mama do her thing!

Totally agree. If i'm in the far corners of the globe and feel a bit homesick, i'll just drive to the airport and look at the red kangaroo. It's like you are looking straight into the harbour bridge and the ayers rock!

Timeless? A guess that's a PR spin meaning "dated."

Haha, very true. Any new livery for American any time soon? Doubt it.
The proper term is "on final" not "on finals" bud...

Once again, the floral print (this time on the skirt) with long wavy blue colors and a pure white top. Symbolizes a pure and innocent one who loves to cross the sea.
This one is what us anime fanboys like to call "Otaku" She is a hardcore Pokemon fan from head to toe and is not afraid to show it. If they held more anime conventions at airport hotels, she would be parked right outside the door, stealing the show.

This is difficult one to answer, I think so many liveries are incredible...
However, I really like the Vietnam Airlines 777. I think they did a great job.
