I was just wondering what program would be more felxible with getting award tickets. I'm a sky team member, but i'm noticing that award seats are starting to get tight. I'm thinking about taking more advantage of star alliance. What do you think? Thank you very much for your feedback

It depends on the specific airline you choose from each alliance. From my experience, the best program is Air Canadas aeroplan. I have been able to claim reward tickets relatively easy many many times.

Which is best is always difficult. Some will say Star Alliance and others will say One World.
It's a matter of preference, departure city, diversity of connections, etc.
My preferred is Star Alliance, mainly because I live in Scandinavia, and use SK, LH, TG, and UA. These airlines give me the best departure times and destination, while still offering me great upgrades and award tickets. But then my family lives in France, and they choose One World. It's a matter of preference.
