Hi

Have searched around but I could'nt find anything. So what would be the total capacity of a 747 in an all economy layout?

I Look Forward to Hearing from you!

I'm lead to believe it's around 600, don't have an exact number, sorry

(Edit) The 747-400D (Domestic) has a capacity of around 570 in a 2 class config - rip out first class and you'll have nearly 600  Smile

Hope this is satisfactory!

The maximum CERTIFIED seating capacity for the Boeing 747 is 660 passengers. This is defined in the FAA Type Certificate Data Sheet A20WE, pages 10 and 14.
Here is a link to the FAA TCDS:
http://www1.airweb.faa.gov/Regulator...keModel.nsf/MainFrame?OpenFrameSet

The 660 max capacity is applicable only to the -300, -100SUD, and -400 models with certain exit door configurations.
This 660 seating capacity is a certification limit, and doesn't imply that any airline has used it. The additional details and conditions for this capacity is defined in the TCDS A20WE.

Corsair has 4 B744 with 587 seats, of which 29 on the upper deck in Class "Grand Large" (better than Eco).

Avoid 777 with 3-4-3 config in Y ! They are real sardine cans. (AF/KL for example)
