O'hare may have the most character of big airports, Denver is nice too, Atlanta is good, and so is LAX, I have a little hometown influence on my appreciation, but I think MSP is top 5 nicest airports in America, as is SFO, ORD, and DEN. Anyone else have any opinions?

I would have to disagree with you . Orlando (MCO) is easy to get around easy to get to hardly any delays on there end security is not bad and if you have a clear card you just walk through and an overall good looking airport.

DEN............... just great.
LAS..................... gotta love the slots.
MSP...................all in all a great airport.
ANC.................a very neat little airport.
DTW (NW World Gateway)...............the best airport in the USA, convinent and clean. And great views of the traffic. What more do you want?

MCI ...no concourses...75 feet from curb to plane and quit the cracks about no johns in the boarding area(past security). They are working on that as we type.
Are there any other major airports in North America that has 30 minutes free parking?
If two people agree on EVERYTHING, then one isn't necessary.
I think Denver's a great airport, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it would deserve the title "Best Airport". Even though it's great for the reasons already listed above, it's kind of boring/dull - there's nothing extremely special about it.

Quoting UAalltheway (Reply 8): My vote: ORD!!!! - Yes, it does have it's weather problems, but I still love it! I'd rather have a long layover there than anywhere else.. TONS of stuff to do and planes to see!
can't agree with you more

1. JFK - for diversity of airlines esp. international (for spotters)
2. LGA - for the best view on landing especially if you are seated in seat A and coming in from northeast like BOS
3. MCO - tarmac views with all the mini-lakes and palm trees
4. YVR - most modern looks
5. LAS - slot machines
6. DEN - runway lay-outs kills taxi and take-off delays---the best runway lay-outs of all
7. BOS and DCA - Legal seafoods restaurants
8. PIT - it has a mall at the intersection of all the concourses
CAUTION: Severe whining ahead-"YYZ is so expensive......highest landing fees......GTAA highway robbers.......Taj Mahal T1".......and so on and so forth. When exactly did any member on A.net actually drop a $10,000.00 (C peso) cheque to land thier A330 here.
Having said that, I am not informed enough to make a valid case against any of the mentioned airports. I have only ever been to YVR, YOW, YUL, YMX, YHZ, LAS, HRL, MCO, FLL, PIE, CUN, ACA, ZLO, PVR, HOG, VRA, MBJ, PMV, POP, PUJ, MID, AUA, SXM, LIS, TER, CDG, NCE, DUB, LGW, MAN, CIA, KWI, CAI, SDJ, FUK and never left airside.

AUS Bergstrom is a really nice, spacious airport, very clean and efficient looking. HRL also has a similar setup. I agree with the SEA vote mentioned earlier. I liked SEA's simple beauty and I think Seattle as a whole is a beautiful city and look forward to going back soon. I've only changed planes at DEN, but I thought that was a great looking airport.
