Sorry I should have been more specific, its not the aircraft itself its the Color Scheme with the aircraft.

I'd have to disagree.

Though I think the Saudi flag is one of the best in the world and has fantastic symbolism, I don't like the livery very much.

Also, the ERJ is the more attracive Embraer.

I disagree - I think the flag is blah. But the Palm Tree & Swords is an amazing symbol. I love the new livery pictured above, rather than the old livery from when my parents worked for Saudia in Jeddah. The old livery was non-distinct. I miss non-revving in first class JED-JFK mostly.

I agree, the VC-10 and Super VC-10 is just tops in the "jet" category.

Youse guys are all wet.

The most beautiful aircraft showed up on the ramp one day in Long Beach back in 1980 or thereabouts. It was a Convair 990 that was in Ports of Call-Denver livery, blue and gold over white. I marveled at its beauty and elegance as I circumnavigated it. If I ever figure out how to load photos here I'll upload a shot of it I took that day.

The second most beautiful was an EC121 Warning Star that was being run up at Davis Monthan AFB around the same time. That's the AWACS version of the Lockheed Constellation. I'll post that too.

I've seen so many commercial aircraft up close and no matter how many times I see this aircraft,it's still leaves me in awe! I wonder why I feel that way, considering this aircraft has been around a long time and should be considered old and boring.

Right on - sadly I am a bit too young to have ever tried a little VC-10derness. Three more that are right up there are Landor Concorde, CP Air 747, and Swissair Coronado (sorry, I can't figure out how to correctly insert pictures, just do a search on the database and you'll see what I mean!)

You're batting 1,000. Among airliners they are unsurpassed.
But among all aircraft the Super Tomcat tops my list:

Yep, BOAC VC10 in the late 60s / early 70s livery does it for me everytime. The perfect match of aircraft design and airline colour scheme.

Trent.

For me it's the old British Airways Landor livery on a 747-200, such a classy looking scheme on a great classic aircraft.
