Try to get a flight to KUL, then fly with Air Asia (LCC) to Jakarta. www.airasia.com
Or try a flight to SIN an then fly with Jetstar Asia/Valuair to Jakarta. www.jetstarasia.com
Another option is LionAir via SIN or KUL www.lionair.co.id
Soo whatever you do, it looks like you will see SIN or KUL
good luck,
Alternatly you could fly from MAN or LGW using the A330-200
LHR-DOH is two daily, but will go to 3 daily after the Bmi take-over (look in Civil Aviation for details)
I cannot find a price on qataraiways.com as you cannot book online from the UK, so I would either go on a website such as expedia.co.uk or contact your travel agent
I reccomend QR very, very, very much, one of four 5 star airlines in the world, and alot better than EK

Quoting B742 (Reply 2): Soups why not try LGW-ACC-DXB-SIN-CGK
If i were to go via ACC i would have done LGW-ACC-JNB-HKG-CGK
QR also had cheap flights. Also Etihad airlines had £380 (tax inclusive) but to SIN. by the time i but a SIN-CGK i believe QR/EK will be cheaper.
Another option i had was Air china via Peking which i so wanted but the Pekin-Jakarta is operated by a 737 via Xiamen and i wouldn't want to be stuck in a 737 for 8 hours

If you want to go foff the beaten path and save a few bucks go LHR-SAH-DXB-CGK with Yemenia. You'll be on the 330 for most of your journey. Good pilots, decent service.

You could also try flying to SIN or KUL, then going with LCC, like Bouraq, Star Air, Garuda Cittilink or Pelita Air or some other kind.

If you're looking for something cheap, I'd say you can't complain about that, it's a flight, it's cheap, why don't you take it?
But in any way, you won't find a very cheap flight to CGK since you'll hae a stop in anyway from Europe. I've got family there and I never came cheaper than €650 pp. That was back with GA though.
Edit: The €650 was like 1500 guilders.

Soups, KLM have got a good fare of £427.90 for a two stop flight via AMS & KUL. But could you in your plans leave Jakarta on the 29th?

Quoting Timology (Reply 5): Bouraq, Star Air, Garuda Cittilink or Pelita Air
Bouraq and Star Air are now gone (their licences have just been revoked). Garuda Citilink (low-cost version of Garuda) only flies domestic routes. Pelita Air only flies charter flights, mainly to oil-rich area (since it belongs to state-owned oil company Pertamina).
