I bit less than I originally thought. It turns out to be approximately 65,000. About 60,000 on SkyTeam, 4000 on Star Alliance (mostly LH), and about 1000 on Ukraine International (FRA - KIEV - FRA).

Kind of a slow year for me commercially- 9593 miles, 16 segments, 7 airlines/subsidiaries (DL, Song, ASA, Chautauqua (US & DL), US, Pan Am, Winair).
2004 was bigger for me: 15,862 miles, 17 segments, 3 airlines/subsidiaries (DL, AF, US)

I flew 104,480 miles on 57 segments, mainly between the UK and US/Canada and domestic US, although my travels also took me to South Africa and Japan.
I believe that makes it an average segment length of 1,833 miles
Most flights were with *Alliance but I made a late dash to achieve Continental/Skyteam Elite and just about managed the 25k status miles to add to the BD gold I achieved. A fine year
Interestingly I have already flown 14,249 miles this year on 16 segments - a record January for me, although in Feb I am only down to fly 4 sements at just 1,400 miles

60,000 on United and Star Alliance members that went to achieving Premier Executive status.
76,000 if you count all airlines and all flights.

hmmmh let me see now.
My first trip of 2005 took me to Chicago on SWA.
That was 243 miles each way.
2nd trip took me to OKC that took me...
100 (STL-MWA)
550 (STL-DFW)
223 (DFW-OKC)
and back the same way...
In June I flew
STL-ORD-RSW-STL
July I flew
STL-PHX-LAX-PHX-STL
September I flew
STL-MCI-STL
then STL-DTW-BWI-DTW-STL
November
STL-MDW-BWI-MDW-STL
That was it for 2005.
You figure the miles out
25 flight segments though!

Well, if back and forth counts as zero, then I went no where twice. Total may have been 700 miles.
