Where are you flying from and to? A little more detail about the route and exactly what you'd like to know would be helpful.

I flew on Jet Blue LGB-JFK-LGB almost exactly a year ago and I really enjoyed the experience.

Friendly, motivated, professional crew. They came around with snacks and drinks three times and encouraged us to take more than one snack each time.

Comfortable leather seats, 34" pitch for most of the cabin, new airplanes, V2500s on their 320s (a plus for me).

The TV was also really good and kept me entertained for the five hours. They said that the system occasionally cuts off due to connectivity issues but it never cut out once neither going nor coming.

And the best thing of all, the ticket cost $207 with the 5-day in advance purchase.

By contrast, I could have taken AA out of LAX, gotten a 762 which would be older than me, been offered nothing but a bag of pretzels for the whole five hour flight, had no IFE and paid $360.

And the sad thing is that I would have rather have done that, if they were both the same price, as I'd rather fly on a 762 than a 320 and I would have gotten my 5k oneworld miles.

The one really funny thing is that on the way back from JFK, I watched "Air Disaster" on the National Geographic channel about the American MD-80 landing at MCI (I think it was MCI). It was just really interesting to be watching a show about air disaster at 35000ft in the air!

jetBlue is a nice airline to fly with. But your still on a plane-- don't buy into the hype- just go expecting a pleasant ride and you won't be disappointed.

Fraknly, I don't see how any airline can be so overhyped-- I mean, your STILL on an airplane! Things aren't going to be perfect!

But the crews are professional and courteous, the tv helps pass the time, the seats are comfy with plenty of legroom and there are enough snacks to keep you satisfied.

It's my favorite airline-- but it's not a cure for cancer!

He stated he is flying to NYC and his location shows Spring, TX. Eitherway B6 does not fly to/from IAH or HOU... Only to AUS and they only fly to 2 cities from there AUS-JFK and AUS-BOS.

Fly CO#730 IAH-JFK... The cost will be cheap for the summertime.

and I would just LOVE to hear HOW they are better than jetBlue...

As for what Jetblue is like, here's what you can expect:
1. excellent customer service (from time of check-in to the flight itself)
2. ulimited snack and beverage service
3. liveTV and XM satellite radio at each LEATHER seat
4. lots of legroom
5. brand new planes

Basically, the ultimate way of describing what you can expect is: An airline that actually CARES about their customers.

Personally, I found jetBlue to be more hype than they really were. At the end of the day, they're just another airline who happens to have PTVs.

I prefer Delta, but that's just me.

Are you implying that Delta DOESN'T care about its customers?

DL4EVR,

With all due respect, I don't recall the poster asking to hear about all the reasons why your favorite airline is better than another airline. I believe the poster asked about a specific airline, and unless that specific airline was Delta (in which case I'll need to get my eyes checked), keep the response relevent or quit wasting the bandwidth.

PS- Before you even say it, I'm not saying what I'm saying to defend my favorite airline, nor am I drinking the blue kool-aid (I think my assessment of the airline was fair and accurate). Don't pull that-- I'm just looking for a bit of maturity on these forums, that's all...

That wasn't my goal...not at all. The poster in question wanted to know what B6 was like. I simply stated an alternative (and, IMHO a better one) that serves many of the same JFK routes as B6.

He was being mature. I agree, jetBlue is a lot of hype, as is Song for that matter, it's our opinion. The thread starter asked for feelings/reactions to jetBlue's service. To many of us, it's not impressive, to other's it's perfect.

I may like wine you may like beer, so is life buddy, why don't you be mature?

I agree that it's a lot of hype, and I feel the same way about song. Nor am I trying to get you involved in this-- I believe your assessment of jetBlue is based off of an unbiased experience and I'm sorry you didn't find it as anything special. Plenty of people don't. I'd never challenge that. But as you say, the thread starter asked for feelings/reactions to jetBlue's service... not DL4EVR's single line reply of "Take Delta Smile Far superior to B6." .... If DL4EVR favors Delta, I hope that he has many favorable Delta flights to come. But some explanation would be appropriate on his part since this IS a thread about jetBlue's service, not Delta's.

That's all..
