there really is no contest to see who is the better flight school.
The best flight school is the school that is best for you. When getting a four year degree along with a couple of ratings, then a college is right for you. If you are out of college then perhaps a to-the-point flight school (ie Delta Connection Academy, Flight Safety Academy, Regional Airline Academy would be best for you. If a self paced school is for you, then go to your local FBO.

This is sort of like asking "what is the best country to live in?" Very subjective. ERAU has a great reputation, sure, as do a bunch of other places. I would say that many FBOs have very good training. And there are some crappy places too. Anyone would be hard pressed to pick just one that is the absolute best out of all of them.
