Extra long runway? Where did you get that from, the A380 requires no more runway than the 747 series.

Once the A380 gets over the stigma of insinuations and preconceptions like yours, it will do fine. Theres absolutely no reason why this aircraft wont be as normal to fly than any other aircraft you get onto at an airport.

Well, I don't have to worry about that ugly excuse for a plane coming to Canada, YYZ more specifically.

Ironically, I just heard that they are doing cold-weather testing up in Nunavut...wasnt aware they had a runway long enough to host a C172!!!

Cheers,

As a passenger aircraft, I think the A380 will ultimately be a flop in the grand scheme of things as it is only designed for a very few routes. I think ultimately it will be an excellent frieghter though.

Quoting JamesJimlb (Thread starter):

Providing this quote, I am not sure that the topic title is totally fair and neutral.

Anyway, we just now have to wait till the end of this year. Stay tuned: I'm pretty sure that we will see tons of topic in early '07 that report "How the A380 do".

Regards,
Raphael
