AA 757s That Bad?

I've read some comments around here about american's 757s and A300s and how they aren't the most comfortable planes. I know they do heavy duty carribean duty, which explains the high capacity requirement, but are American's 757s any worse than say DL or NWs 752s? I'm flying them on a DFW to MCO segment later this year, and I'm curious.

Thanks.

No.

The former TW birds might be a little worse than the others. Especially the newer ones with the winglet kits on them.

I think the main concern is the poor F seat compared to most of the fleet, and the outdated seats in Y with so so pitch. Other than that I dunno why people hate them.

I flew AA's 757s from Dallas to Cancun last summer. I did not find them unpleasant. The trip down was only partially full, so the empty seats next to me made the experience more enjoyable. On the return trip, three days before Hurrican Emily hit, the plane was packed, and like all packed flights, the pleasure was much less.

Actually, I think the former TWA birds are better than the AA ones - TWA didn't start getting their 757's until the late 1990s so these are all relatively new. They tend to have a nicer interior than the AA planes.

I think CO/UA/DL 757's tend to be nicer than AA's (assuming the DL ones with the new interiors). I think UA's tend to have the best interior of the group.

No, not at all. They are a HUGE improvement over the AA 757 ones.

Yes I MUCH prefer flying TWA 757 then AA 757's iv flown both and i notice a huge difference with the TWA and AA 757's.

TWA did get their 757's much later.
