As I will begin my flight training toward a PPL this week, I couldn't help but wonder how many a.netters actually have a PPL, or maybe even something higher! So, how many of us on here fly?

I do not yet have my PPL, however I am currently working in 3-9 hours a week for it (I have 16.8 hours so far). I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I do. Best of luck, and clear skies!

I have had my Private since last summer. I don't intend to earn more ratings at least in the near future as it is something that is more for fun than anything else.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

I have my PPL. One of these days, I'll go for my instument ticket. The weather in So-Cal is generally too nice to have to worry about filing IFR.

No! Not by a long shot. I'll have completed my PPL by the end of this university year though. At the moment I have 10 hours and have passed four theory exams (Air Law, HP&L, FP&P and Nav) with an average of 95%. I'll be doing my hours building in Florida in June once i've got all my exams out of the way and finished my first year at uni.
Then in September it's off to Cranfield to do my ATPL's and my IR.. Fun!

When I had the money to start flight training I didn't have time and now that I have the time I do not have the money. Weird how that works...
To all of you that have your PPL or are working on it, did you save all of the estimated funds before starting training or earn it as you went along? I want to go for an intro flight soon... maybe as a jump start to get me motivated to work harder for it but I want to know what I should do about funding.
