This is NOT an A vs B war, I am a strong lover of all Airbus and Boeing aircaft  Smile

I do prefer the cabins in the Boeing 767/777 as they are in more than one variation..

  • 777 3-3-3, 3-4-3, 2-5-2, 2-3-4
  • 767 2-3-2, 2-4-2

The 767/777 and A330/A340 are personly my favourite series of aircraft  Smile

Hey Rob,
I have always liked the 2-3-2 configuration of the 767s. It just feels more comfortable. Plus, with only one middle seat, it is bound to be more spacious. I haven't been on a T7 in a while, but I think the 767 is the most spacious.
Happy Flying!

The 767 with the Boeing Signature Interior kills the A330 in comfort. Same goes with the 777 vs. the A340.

Boeing 777/767 for sure, I like Airbus just fine but the 777 style bins give the cabin a much bigger feel.

I prefer B777 over A340. Comfort and space just murders the A340

I like the A330 for comfort over any 767! The A340/500/600 is good but the 777 is just that little bit better.

Right in the thread starter he says comparisons on Economy.

Why compare the 777 with the A340 and th3 767 with the A330. The A330/340 are based on the same width fuelage are they not?

I personally think the 777 is more spacious in the back but that is just my opinion. There are some on this board who will bitch and moan the 767 isn't a widebody but I'll take a 767 with its 2-3-2 seating back there any day of the week.

In looking at seatwidths on Seatguru.com I see the following... (I'd stay away from Steerage on Emirates and US Scareways)

AirFrance A340 (2-4-2) 18" seat width
AirFrance A330 (2-4-2) 18" seat width
Virgin A340 (2-4-2) 17.5" seat width

Northwest A330 (2-4-2) 17.5" seat width
Emirates A330 (2-4-2) 17.5" seat width
US Airways A330 (2-4-2) 17" seat width....aaaghh, the pain!

Delta 777 (3-3-3) 18" seat width
Continental 777 (3-3-3) 17.9" seat width
Singapore 777 (3-3-3) 17.5" seat width
Emirates 777 (3-4-3) 17" seat width....close quarters!

Delta 767 (2-3-2) 18" seat width
Continental 767 (2-3-2) 17.9" seat width
American 767 (2-3-2) 17.2" seat width
